My YouTube channel, Geography Geek, was started while I was teaching 8th-grade geography to better engage students during online school at the height of the COVID pandemic. Among the first videos created were “Why Thanos Is an Idiot | Population Pyramids & Earth’s Resources” and “The 5 Themes of Geography.” Later videos were made to appeal to audiences outside of my classroom. The channel has since grown to over 370k subscribers and 35 million views.

Maps & Language Posters
In 2018 I started creating maps of US National Parks to sell online using ArcGIS, Blender, and Photoshop under the name Zack’s Map Shop. This eventually expanded to other themes as well as prints of historical maps and in 2025 I started creating language learning posters. I closed the shop in late 2025 but a large selection of those maps and posters can be found here as a free download.
